Kaizer Chiefs have secured the long-term future of one of their brightest young prospects after teenage sensation Neo Bohloko signed a new three-year contract extension.
The 18-year-old has committed his future to Amakhosi until 2029, with Roc Nation Sports International (RNSI), which represents the player, confirming the agreement.
Standout talents
Bohloko has emerged as one of the standout talents to come through the club’s academy and is widely regarded as a future first-team star.
“We are delighted to see this long-term deal finalised with Kaizer Chiefs,” said Grant Veitch, Director of African Football Recruitment at Roc Nation Sports International.
“Neo is an exceptional talent whose journey through Naturena and the youth national setups has demonstrated his huge potential.
“Securing this three-year extension is a major milestone that reflects the trust Chiefs have in his future.
“This is an extremely exciting next chapter as he steps into the senior environment, and everyone at Roc Nation Sports International remains fully committed to supporting his ongoing growth and development.”
Rapid rise
Bohloko joined Roc Nation Sports International in July 2025 alongside Mamelodi Sundowns youngster Siyabonga Mabena.
The attacking talent has enjoyed a rapid rise through the ranks at Naturena. He made his debut for Kaizer Chiefs’ MultiChoice Diski Challenge side at just 14 years old in 2023 before being named the club’s DDC Player of the Year at the age of 15.
He also finished as Kaizer Chiefs’ top scorer during the 2023/24 DDC campaign, underlining his reputation as one of South African football’s most exciting young talents.
The new deal signals Kaizer Chiefs’ confidence in Bohloko’s ability to make the transition to senior football as the club continues investing in its next generation of stars.
Has Neo Bohloko got what it takes to be the next ‘big’ Kaizer Chiefs star?
