Things keep getting better and better for former Orlando Pirates star Relebohile Mofokeng.
The Bafana Bafana winger capped off a sensational 2025/26 campaign by dominating the PSL Awards on Monday evening.
After sweeping the night’s biggest honours, Mofokeng also walked away with a sizeable pay day.
MOFOKENG DOMINATES THE PSL AWARDS
Mofokeng was crowned the PSL Footballer of the Season, beating Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Teboho Mokoena and former Orlando Pirates team-mate Oswin Appollis to South African football’s biggest individual prize.
He was also awarded as the Betway Premiership Players’ Player of the Season, finishing ahead of Appollis and Kamogelo Sebelebele.
To complete a remarkable evening, Mofokeng claimed the Betway Premiership Young Player of the Season accolade after edging out TS Galaxy’s Sihle Mahlambi and Golden Arrows youngster Isaac Cissé.
His clean sweep underlined just how influential he was during his final season in the PSL before jetting off to Europe.
According to KickOff, last season’s Footballer of the Season award offered R250 000 in prize money, while the Betway Premiership Players’ Player of the Season award carried a R200 000 prize.
Meanwhile, the Betway Premiership Young Player of the Season category offered R50 000.
Assuming the PSL maintained the same prize structure for the 2025/26 awards, Mofokeng banked a combined R500 000 after collecting all three major awards.
The ex-Bucs attacker scored 10 goals and providing eight assists in 27 Betway Premiership appearances for Orlando Pirates last season.
It helped secure him a place in Hugo Broos’ Bafana Bafana FIFA World Cup 2026 squad as well as his move to Union SG in Belgium.
