According to SoccerBeat, Kaizer Chiefs, who first launched a bid to sign Langelihle Phili, have now identified Faiz Abrahams as a transfer target after his proposed move to Orlando Pirates collapsed.
The report also claims that Abrahams turned down a loan move to Durban City, leaving the door open for a permanent switch elsewhere.

“SoccerBeat understands Kaizer Chiefs are the latest club to show interest in Stellenbosch FC winger Faiz Abrahams,” the outleit reported.

The Bishop Lavis-born winger came through the youth ranks at Cape Town Spurs, formerly known as Ajax Cape Town. After the club’s relegation, he opted against renewing his contract and joined Stellenbosch FC.
Abrahams quickly made his mark in the club’s DStv Diski Challenge side. He scored 11 goals during an outstanding campaign and won the DDC Player of the Season award.
His performances earned him a senior debut against Kaizer Chiefs during the closing stages of the 2024/25 season. Stellenbosch then sent him on loan to Israeli side Hapoel Kfar Saba for the 2025/26 campaign.
The winger impressed abroad with three goals and three assists in 11 appearances before returning to South Africa ahead of schedule. His pace, direct style and attacking quality have since made him one of the most sought-after young players in the country.
