Durban City have begun reshaping their squad ahead of the new season, confirming the departure of nine players as newly appointed head coach Khalil Ben Youssef starts work at the KwaZulu-Natal club.
In a statement, Durban City announced that four players have returned to their parent clubs following the expiry of their loan agreements, while five others have left after their contracts came to an end.

The players departing after completing their loan spells are Terrence Mashego, Taahir Goedeman, Ronaldo Maarman and Siphiwe Mahlangu.
Meanwhile, Falakhe Tshanini, Odwa Nyulu, Joslin Kamatuka, Onele Rulwana and Lindokuhle Chonco have all left the club following the expiry of their contracts.
“The Club would like to thank each player for their contribution during their time at Durban City FC and wishes them every success in their future endeavours,” the club said in a statement.
More moves expected
The departures mark the first major squad changes under Ben Youssef, who last season was in charge at Kaizer Chiefs, as Durban City prepare for the season ahead.
More arrivals and departures are expected in the coming weeks as the club strengthens its squad ahead of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season.
