The 28-year-old brings an end to a long association with Kaizer Chiefs, having progressed through the club’s development structures before earning promotion to the senior team in 2019.

His exit follows after Aden McCarthy and George Matlou.

KAIZER CHIEFS PART WAYS WITH MASHIANE

The Tembisa-born defender made his mark as a versatile left-back and featured in several important matches during his time at Naturena.

He was part of the Kaizer Chiefs squad that reached the CAF Champions League final in 2021 and went on to score four goals for the Glamour Boys across all competitions.

Mashiane also gained further first-team experience during a loan spell with Siwelele FC in the 2025/26 season.

CLUB PAYS TRIBUTE

Announcing his departure, the Soweto giants said:

“Kaizer Chiefs defender Happy Mashiane has left the Club following the mutual termination of his contract.”

The club added:

“The Tembisa-born player joined the Amakhosi development structures as a teenager before being promoted to the senior team at the start of 2019. Mashiane played a key role in the squad that reached the CAF Champions League final in Morocco in 2021. Primarily operating as a left-back, the 28-year-old has scored four goals for Chiefs.”

In their farewell message, Amakhosi concluded:

“The former under-23 international also spent a spell on loan with Siwelele FC, gaining valuable experience during the 2025/26 season. We sincerely thank Happy for his valuable contribution to Amakhosi and wish him all the best.”

Mashiane becomes the latest player to depart Kaizer Chiefs as the club continues reshaping its squad ahead of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership run.
