With Bafana Bafana extending their stay in the tournament by reaching the Round of 32, the projected payment to Orlando Pirates has risen to approximately R56.15 million.
Under FIFA regulations, clubs receive compensation based on a player’s inclusion in the official tournament squad rather than the number of minutes played on the field.

The current figure may not be the final amount. If Bafana Bafana defeat Canada and progress even further in the competition, Orlando Pirates will continue to earn additional compensation for every extra day their players remain at the tournament.
