Orlando Pirates may be fighting a losing battle in keeping Relebohile Mofokeng at Mayfair.
The Buccaneers star has attracted interest from clubs in the Middle East, the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States.
And that was before he elevated his game even further in the most recent domestic season when he helped inspire Orlando Pirates to their first Betway Premiership title in 14 years.
Now, with his stock rising rapidly and the FIFA World Cup placing him on the global stage, the noise around a potential exit is only growing louder.
MOFOKENG’S MOTHER MAKES EUROPE STANCE CLEAR
Orlando Pirates managed to keep hold of their prized attacker through to the end of last season.
However, that task is about to get a lot tougher for Bucs management.
Mofokeng is now rubbing shoulders with the world’s best at the FIFA World Cup, with scouts from across the globe watching closely.

Meanwhile, if there was any doubt over where his family stands, his mother, Naomi Mofokeng, has now made their position crystal clear.
She wants to see her son leave Orlando Pirates and test himself in Europe.
“Hopefully, not only me, even you yourself, you are hoping for him to go overseas. That’s our dream and that’s our hope and that’s what we’re praying for,” Naomi said on GOAL.
“It’s not only my prayers, many people are praying that this season he must go,” she added.

FIFA WORLD CUP SPOTLIGHT DRIVING HIS VALUE HIGHER
Mofokeng’s market value was already climbing before he even kicked a ball at this year’s World Cup.
Reports suggest the Orlando Pirates star’s valuation has risen from around R40 million to roughly R50 million.
This significant jump is fueled by his domestic performances and his selection for Bafana Bafana’s World Cup squad.
Now, that value could soar even further.
Mofokeng has already made his FIFA World Cup debut after coming off the bench against Czech Republic.
If he features again against South Korea in Bafana Bafana’s decisive final Group A clash on Wednesday, 24 June, his profile will rise further.
Furthermore, if South Africa reach the knockout stages, his value will continue to rise.
At this stage, the writing appears to be on the wall for his future in Mzansi.
However such writing could be the start of a new exciting chapter for one of South Africa’s finest young talents.
