Kaizer Chiefs are actively looking to strengthen their attacking options and have set their sights on three promising forwards from across Africa.
1. Kibu Denis (Simba SC)
The 26-year-old Tanzanian winger has impressed in the CAF Confederations Cup, scoring four goals in 12 appearances this season. His club, Simba SC, will face Morocco’s RS Berkane in the final, giving Denis a chance to further showcase his talent. Primarily a left-winger, he could add pace and creativity to Chiefs’ frontline.
2. Jonathan Sowah (Al Nasr Benghazi)
The Ghanaian striker, also 26, currently plays for Libyan side Al Nasr Benghazi and has earned three caps for Ghana’s national team. Known for his physicality and finishing ability, Sowah could provide a reliable goal threat for Amakhosi.
3. Fiston Mayele (Pyramids FC)
The Congolese forward made headlines after his brace knocked Orlando Pirates out of the CAF Champions League semifinals. Mayele has been in stellar form, netting eight goals in 11 Champions League matches this season. With 21 goals and four assists in 35 appearances in Africa’s top club competition, he would be a marquee signing for Chiefs.
Chiefs Battle for MTN8 Spot
Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs kept their MTN8 hopes alive with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Sekhukhune United, thanks to Glody Lilepo’s stoppage-time equalizer. A win in their final match against Polokwane City would secure their place in the top eight, though Polokwane have already guaranteed their spot.
With the transfer window approaching, Chiefs fans will be eager to see if any of these rumored signings materialize as the club looks to rebuild under new management.
