Kaizer Chiefs’ expected starting 11 vs Orbit College
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Kaizer Chiefs co-coaches Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef have another starting line up to select against Betway Premiership strugglers Obrit College.

Amakhosi are expected to make at least one forced change, with captain Inacio Miguel out suspended for today’s 15:00 kick off in Gqeberha.

In the Angolan international’s place is most likely to be Given Msimango who sat on the bench in the 2-0 win over Magesi FC in Durban.

EXPECTED KAIZER CHIEFS STARTING LINE UP VS ORBIT COLLEGE

Popular winger Mfundo Vilakazi sparkled with an 8.2 out of 10 rating during his substitute appearance against Magesi, which was the highest individual rating for Kaizer Chiefs on the night.

Expect Vilkazi to replace Mmodi on the right flank.

Expected Kaizer Chiefs line up: Bruce Bvuma, Dillan Solomons, Given Msimango, Aden McCarthy, Bradley Cross, Lebohang Maboe, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Mduduzi Shabalala, Mfundo Vilakazi, Wandile Duba, Flavio Silva.

FIRST ROUND MEETING: KAIZER CHIEFS 4-1 ORBIT COLLEGE

Amakhosi have big reason to feell full confidence. They cruised to a 4-1 victory over Orbit College on Tuesday 4 November at the FNB Stadium.

Shabalala was the star of the show, netting a second goal in the 61st minute and providing two assists to keep the Amakhosi in total control throughout the match.

Despite a brief response from Orbit’s Ayanda Lukhele in the 70th minute, Kaizer Chiefs killed off any hope of a comeback almost immediately.

Mfundo Vilakazi restored the cushion with a clinical finish shortly after, and Flávio Silva added a fourth in the final minutes to seal a dominant performance that moved the team level with the league leaders.

AMAKHOSI EXPECTED TO WIN AGAINST STRUGGLING ORBIT COLLEGE

The Mswenko Boys are enduring a difficult debut season in the top flight. They currently sit near the bottom of the table in 15th place. While promotion brought plenty of excitement, they’ve struggled to match the level of the bigger sides.

Their biggest issue has been in front of goal, with the team finding it hard to score consistently across their 22 matches so far. A run of poor results has only made things worse, dragging them deeper into a relegation battle.

The decision to move their high-profile clash against Kaizer Chiefs to Gqeberha is a calculated risk. It offers financial benefits for the club, but comes at the cost of leaving behind their home support in Rustenburg.

With only a handful of games remaining, Orbit must start collecting points urgently to avoid the drop, especially with just four points separating them from Magesi FC.
