Kaizer Chiefs are close to securing a new contract for one of their most reliable performers in recent seasons.
Miguel to pen new Kaizer Chiefs deal
According to a Citizen source, Inacio Miguel is close to signing a new contract with Chiefs. The 30-year-old Angolan star has made 16 league appearances this term and made 53 appearances overall since joining in August 2024.
“I’m not sure about the length of the new contract, but what I can tell you is that Miguel is definitely staying with Chiefs,” said the source.
“Chiefs value Miguel so much that they extended his stay. Miguel is more than a player at the club; he’s a leader, and the players around him respect him. You can see his leadership skills when things are not going to plan. The technical team also values his inputs when it comes to the tactical aspects of the game, so it was really an easy decision to extend his contract,” added the source.
Ngcobo’s future hangs in the balance
Fan-favourite and academy talent Nkosingiphile Ngcobo is under fire for his failure to string together consistent performances. Injuries have ravaged the 26-year-old’s career to date, and now, rumours suggest the club could move him on at the end of the 2025-26 campaign
