Kaizer Chiefs are still in the hunt for a top-three finish but must put Magesi to the sword in their next Betway Premiership match.
Chiefs stay in the hunt
After a slender 1-0 win over Durban City, Kaizer Chiefs are very much in the hunt for a top-three finish. They only trail third-placed Sekhukhune by two points. Crucially, however, the Glamour Boys have two games in hand. The victory over City was Chiefs’ first win in the Betway Premiership since January against Marumo Gallants. Next up for Chiefs is a clash with Magesi, on Saturday, 21 March at 18:00. The match will be aired on DSTV channel 202.
Kaizer Chiefs are a rumoured destination for Mohau Nkota
According to Soccer Laduma, the future of former Orlando Pirates winger Mohao Nkota has taken a fresh new twist with Kaizer Chiefs throwing their name into the hat. Saudi Pro League side Al Ettifaq were initially keen to loan Nkota back to Orlando Pirates, but they’ve reconsidered. Nkota’s 2025-26 season in the SPL has been underwhelming, with two goals and three assists in 17 outings. There are also persistent and contrasting reports on the futures of on-loan striker Khanyisa Mayo and long-time Chiefs fan-favourite, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo.
