Kaizer Chiefs have a chunk of Betway Premiership fixtures left this season. They can still have a big say in the title race between Orlando Pirates and Sundowns.
Kaizer Chiefs’ remaining fixtures for the 2025-26 season
Although a push for the title seems out of the question, Chiefs can still make a serious play for the top three, which would represent continental football next season. The Glamour Boys can also have a major say as to who will be the eventual champions, as they face Sundowns and Pirates. Chiefs will need to turn around their current poor run of form to climb the table; they’ve lost four domestic matches on the bounce. Here’s what’s still to come:

Sundowns’ fixtures and Kaizer Chiefs’ potential say in the title race
Although Sundowns are on a four-match winning run across all competitions, their fixture list isn’t as kind. The Brazilians have awkward-looking assignments against 14th-placed Marumo Gallants and fourth-placed Durban City, who have a genuine shot at finishing in the top three. A match against Chippa on 18 April could also pose issues, seeing as though the Chilli Boys are fighting for their Betway Premiership lives. Both Sundowns and Pirates, intriguingly, still face Kaizer Chiefs. The Glamour Boys won’t be kings this season but could be the king-makers in the title race, one way or another.
Is Ngcobo on borrowed time?
Fan-favourite and academy talent Nkosingiphile Ngcobo is under fire for his failure to string together consistent performances. Injuries have ravaged the 26-year-old’s career to date. Now, rumours suggest the club could move him on at the end of the 2025-26 campaign. One fan said he is ‘made of glass’, in an attempt to highlight his frustrating injury-proneness. He hasn’t managed more than 16 appearances in any of the last five Betway Premiership campaigns. This seems to contradict his nickname ‘Mshini’ in ironic fashion.
