Kaizer Chiefs have had a tough five weeks, losing four consecutive matches across all competitions.
The Soweto giants started the second half of the season with four straight wins and looked set to reach the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup, having topped the group with one match left.
In the Betway Premiership, Amakhosi jumped to second on the log with three straight wins and looked like real title contenders at the time.
Their collapse started in Egypt when they lost to Zamalek and were eliminated from the Confederation Cup. Defeats to Stellenbosch FC in both the Nedbank Cup and the league halted their momentum, but the 3-0 humiliation by Orlando Pirates broke them.
Now Chiefs are winless in three league matches and looking to turn things around. They will have to play their next few games without their captain, Brandon Petersen, who underwent surgery before their derby against Pirates last month.
Which teams are Kaizer Chiefs playing next?
Amakhosi host Durban City next Sunday (15 March) at the FNB Stadium. A win for the Soweto giants could put them back to third on the log as they seek to return to CAF competitions.
After the Durban City match, Chiefs once again have a home game against Magesi. The match against Dikwena tsa Meetse is the team’s last fixture of the month before the international break.
The Glamour Boys will likely finish the season without silverware after elimination from both the Nedbank Cup and CAF CC.
