AmaZulu coach Arthur Zwane has made a defiant statement about their target for the season following their defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns.
Usuthu suffered a 1–0 loss at the hands of the league champions at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Zwane says they are still building their team, which is filled with youngsters and a bit of experience.
However, he insists that, in the end, they will achieve their target by the end of the season.
“One thing that I know for sure is that come end of the season, we would have achieved our target, that’s the bottom line for us,” said Zwane.
When asked what the club’s specific target was, he stated that they want to finish in the top four, but they also fancy their chances of finishing in the top three.
“Our target is position four, it has always been that,” he added.
“But as a club, we also fancy our chances that we can finish in the top three because teams are going to cancel each other.
“All we have to do is to win our home games, unfortunately we lost tonight. We’ll go back to the drawing boards and redeem ourselves.”
