All Teams Qualified For NBC QFs So Far

Posted on February 22, 2026

It was a day of upsets in the Nedbank Cup on Saturday, as both Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates were knocked out.

Masandawana stumbled against TS Galaxy, losing 2-0 after Miguel Cardoso opted to make 10 changes to the team that beat Pirates in the Betway Premiership.

Galaxy upped the ante in the first half, netting twice, with Sundowns never able to come back despite Cardoso trying to rectify his selection and making three half-time subs.

The day of upsets continued at the Orlando Amstel Arena, as Casric Stars held the Buccaneers to a goalless draw after 120 minutes of football to force penalties.

It started with Nkosinathi Sibisi missing his spot-kick and while Pirates came back into the shootout when Manqoba Ozoemena missed Casric’s fourth, Mpho Chabatsane fired his penalty over the bar.

Sipho Chaine kept the Buccaneers in the tie after saving Mfundo Thikazi’s spot-to force sudden death but after Yanela Mbuthuma and Siphosethu Meveni scored, Nkosikhona Ndaba missed before Zebulon Mtshweni became the hero to send Bucs out.

In the other Saturday fixtures, Durban City eliminated Upington City – also on penalties after Darren Keet saved three spot-kicks. Golden Arrows defeated Chiefs-slayers Stellenbosch FC by 1-0 thanks to a solitary strike by Angelo Van Rooi.

On Friday, a goal by Pule Ekstein was enough for AmaZulu to knock out Richards Bay in the KZN Derby.

Three more spots are for grabs on Sunday, as Jacksa Spears face Vasco Da Gama, Milford host Mkhambathi and AmaTuks welcome Sekhukhune United.
