Lorch’s Shirt Number At New Club Revealed

Posted on February 13, 2026

Libyan club Al Ittihad have officially unveiled the jersey number of their new signing, Thembinkosi Lorch, who recently joined the club from Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca.

The 32-year-old completed an abrupt move from the Moroccan side to Libya after receiving a lucrative offer worth around $75,000 [approximately R1.2 million] per month on a two-and-a-half-year contract.

The attractive financial package is believed to have played a significant role in convincing the experienced attacker to make the switch.

Lorch was joined at Al Ittihad by Burkina Faso international Stephane Aziz Ki, his former teammate at Wydad Casablanca.

The two players were officially unveiled on Thursday as they prepare to begin a new chapter in their careers in Libya. Their arrivals are seen as major additions to the club’s ambitions for the season.

Known for his preference for the number 3 jersey throughout his career, Lorch will, however, wear number 11 at Al Ittihad.

He previously donned the number 3 shirt during his time at both Orlando Pirates and Wydad Casablanca.
