Makaab On Ndah Future After Pirates Exit

Posted on February 2, 2026

Olisa Ndah’s representative Mike Makaab has opened up about the player’s future saying at the moment they haven’t engaged any clubs as yet.

This comes after Orlando Pirates’ confirmation last week that they mutually agreed to part ways Ndah. The move ended the centre-back’s three-and-a-half year stay with the Buccaneers having endured injuries in the last season and being unable to even feature in any league games on his return this term.

Makaab said they don’t know the player’s next move yet, but it will be discussed clearly as it’s the most important one.

“We, as we sit here, don’t know what his next move is,” said Makaab on Gagasi FM.

“We haven’t engaged any clubs formally at this point. We’ll sit down, think about the next step, and next week [this week] probably start looking at opportunities for the next stage of his career.

“It depends on what we believe as a group, that’s him, his family, and us as a company, what we believe as a group. His father is a former professional football player by the way.

“So, what we believe as a group of people, the next best move for him, he’s 28 years old, so his next move is a very important move in his life.

“What we’re hoping is that he’ll get back to the Olisa Ndah that we all know was. One of the best central defenders on the continent without a doubt in my mind, a modern central defender and by the way absolute love for Orlando Pirates.

“There was genuine sadness and disappointment when we finally came to this decision. So, the next step is the important step for Olisa, and we are going to have to think about it clearly.

“If it’s in South Africa, so be it, if it’s on the continent, if it’s abroad, but the next step is going to be a very important stepping stone to the next part of his career.”
