RIP – Stellies DDC Player Passes Away

Posted on February 2, 2026

Stellenbosch FC DDC player Jeandre Gaffoor has sadly passed away, his agency Prosport International confirmed.

The 20-year-old Gaffoor was a talented central midfielder who had joined Stellenbosch after the relegation of Cape Town Spurs last year.

He had been at Spurs for seven years, joining the club as a 12-year-old, when they were known as Ajax Cape Town

While he didn’t feature for Spurs first team in the league, he had been promoted to the senior squad before he left to the Winelands.

On Sunday, his sad passing was confirmed by both his agency, Prosport International, as well as his former club Cape Town Spurs.

“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jeandre Gaffoor. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, Stellenbosch Football Club, and the entire football community during this incredibly difficult time,” his agency stated.

From everyone at iDiski Times, we’d like to express our heartfelt condolences to Gaffoor’s family, friends, everyone at Stellenbosch FC and the broader football fraternity.
