Feb fixtures confirmed, Kaze urges caution

Posted on January 30, 2026

Today’s Kaizer Chiefs news wrap includes news on their February fixtures and words of warning from Cedric Kaze.

Kaizer Chiefs have five February fixtures

Chiefs have a busy schedule in the second month of 2026. They’ll be hoping that Rushwin Dortley plays some part. The 23-year-old has yet to feature in the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Sat 28 Feb: Chiefs vs Orlando Pirates (FNB Stadium, 15:30)
  • Sun 1 Feb: Chiefs vs ZESCO United (Moses Mabhida Stadium, 15:00)
  • Wed 4 Feb: Stellenbosch vs Chiefs (DHL Cape Town Stadium, 19:00, Nedbank Cup R32)
  • Sun 8 Feb: Chiefs vs Al Masry SC (TBC)
  • Sun 15 Feb: Zamalek vs Chiefs (TBC)

Kaze tells the Chiefs fans to chill a bit

Kaizer Chiefs caretaker boss Cedric Kaze has urged caution among the fans after the club recently leapfrogged Orlando Pirates.

“I am happy with the three points. I believe that we didn’t start the game well; the first half was a little bit sloppy and reactive,” Kaze said, during the post-match interview on SuperSport.

“We had to tell the players that if we wanted the three points, we needed to go out there, get on the front foot and not react to every pass and movement they made. I believe the second half was much better, and what a goal.”

“Now we are going to focus on the Caf Confederation Cup on Sunday,” he continued.

“We are happy with the contributions of (Siphesihle) Ndlovu and (Flavio) Silva. When they came in, they stabilised the team, and we were able to be more threatening in our attacks.

“With consistency, we have to work every day. We have to criticise ourselves and improve every day, and the players are willing to do the work for Kaizer Chiefs.

“Everyone is responding in a positive way. We have to work hard because the season is far from over and there is everything to play for.”
