Sekhukhune vs Pirates Line-Ups Confirmed

Posted on January 24, 2026

Sekhukhune United host league leaders Orlando Pirates at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium this afternoon in a mouth-watering Premiership return – here’s how the two sides line-up.

Sekhukhune have become somewhat of a hoodoo team and beat Pirates in the reverse fixture at Orlando Stadium – which marked the first league game of their season and head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou’s league debut for the club.

He went on to lose against his former side Marumo Gallants away from home, while Babina Noko, under the leadership of Eric Tinkler was soaring at the top of the table for the opener three months of the campaign.

But the tide has significantly changed since, with Pirates unbeaten with nine wins and one draw after those two opening defeats, while winning the MTN8 and Carling Knockout Cup titles.

Tinkler’s side, with one one in their last five games have slumped to fourth in the league, but sit only four points behind the Soweto giants, which makes for enticing league outing in Polokwane this afternoon, with the game scheduled to kick off at 15h30.

Sekhukhune XI: Leaner, Ndlovu, Cardoso, Letlapa, Mogaila, Monare, Mkhize, Rammala, Mojela, Mncube, Grobler

SUBS: Nstabata, Phiri, Yamba, Malivha, Matsimbi, Mokoena, Makgalwa, Langa, Tlaka.

Pirates XI: Chaine, van Rooyen, Sibisi, Seema, Ndaba, Makhaula, Mbatha, Maswanganyi, Sebelebele, Moremi, Magkopa.

SUBS: Buthelezi, Chabatsane, Hotto, Mariko, Dansin, Mofokeng, Appollis, Mbuthuma.
