Posted on January 23, 2026

Ouaddou has welcomed the new signings.

Ahead of Saturday’s Betway Premiership match against Sekhukhune United at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has delivered his verdict on January signings.

The Buccaneers have so far announced the signing of Andre De Jong from Stellenbosch and Mpho Chabatsane and Daniel Msendami from Marumo Gallants.

Speaking to the Pirates media department, Ouaddou welcomed the new signings, saying that he was looking forward to them bringing their qualities to the team.

“We have some habits in terms of cohesion, in terms of living together and it’s important to include the new players,” said Ouaddou.

“We’ve shown them slides about our game model, about our team spirit, about our values in the team.

“So, it’s a moment where we can have chats with these new players to integrate them into our team. We welcomed Chabatsane, Msendami and of course Andre De Jong to come to our team.

“We are looking forward to them bringing us all the qualities and the competencies to the team.”

Meanwhile, Pirates have offloaded a total of eight players during the current transfer window.

Defender Mbekezeli Mbokazi joined MLS outfit Chicago Fire, while Sinoxolo Kwayiba returned to Chippa United after failing to make the grade at Pirates.
