Date change for key Kaizer Chiefs Betway Premiership fixture

Posted on January 20, 2026

The Betway Premiership fixture between Marumo Gallants and Kaizer Chiefs has been rescheduled and will now take place on Wednesday, 28 January, at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium in Mangaung.

The match was originally scheduled for Tuesday, 27 January, but the change was necessitated by Kaizer Chiefs’ continental commitments.

According to the official Kaizer Chiefs website, kick-off remains at 19:30.

Confederation Cup clash

Amakhosi will be travelling to Zambia the preceding weekend to face Zesco United in a CAF Confederation Cup clash on Sunday, 25 January.

The adjustment allows the Soweto giants adequate recovery and travel time ahead of their domestic league encounter.

High Demand Expected

Supporters in Bloemfontein and across the Free State are encouraged to purchase tickets early, with the match expected to draw a large crowd.

Tickets are priced at R100 per person and are available via Computicket, as well as at Shoprite and Checkers outlets nationwide.

Next match

Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs will next be in action on Tuesday, 20 January when they host Golden Arrows at the FNB Stadium.

Kick-off is at 19:30.

Heading into the clash, Kaizer Chiefs find themselves in fourth place in the standings with 24 points after 13 matches.

Golden Arrows are in 10th spot with 16 points after 14 fixtures.
