Exclusive: Makaab Responds To Radiopane’s Loan Rumours

Posted on January 17, 2026

Renowned South African agent Mike Makaab has addressed speculation linking Orlando Pirates striker Boitumelo Radiopane with a loan move.

The 23-year-old got off to a strong start under the new leadership of Abdeslam Ouaddou, who showed clear trust in the centre-forward.

In the opening stages of the season, Radiopane started three of his four appearances, including two Betway Premiership games and two MTN8 fixtures.

Injuries then kept him on the sidelines for some time, and thereafter, he found it difficult to regain a spot in the starting line-up ahead of Evidence Makgopa and Yanela Mbuthuma.

According to Makaab, the club wants to keep Radiopane to fight for his spot as the 2025/26 season’s second round gets underway this week.

“Radiopane, I don’t know where there’s talk of him going out on loan,” Makaab told iDiski Times.

“At this point, the club wants to keep him. If things change, I’m sure they will notify me about that.”
