BREAKING – Stellenbosch Snatch Up Sundowns Defender
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Stellenbosch FC completed the signing of Mamelodi Sundowns‘ defender Mosa Lebusa, signed as a free agent after his exit from the club.

iDiski Times can confirm that Stellenbosch FC finally completed the signing of Lebusa on a permanent basis. The 33-year-old had six months left in his contract, but he reached an agreement with Sundowns to terminate it before signing with Stellenbosch.

It’s been eight years since Lebusa left the Western Cape for Gauteng, from Ajax Cape Town to Sundowns. Since leaving the Urban Warriors, the left-footed defender won 11 trophies, including seven league titles. He also collected several Man of the Match awards throughout his career.

He made over 200 appearances in the Sundowns colours. He arrived as a boy and now leaves as a man, well respected at Sundowns after serving them with distinction.

He will add experience in the Stellenbosch team especially that he knows the league and knows the Western Cape. Also he is expected to play major role in Stellenbosch CAF Confederation Cup campaign after competing in the CAF Champions League and even reached the semifinals several times and a final.
