New Pirates signing describes his style of play

Posted on January 17, 2026

Orlando Pirates have strengthened their wide options with a highly rated Zimbabwean international.

The 25-year-old has opened up about what supporters should expect from him on the green grass.

Msendami made his way from fellow Betway Premiership side Marumo Gallants after featuring in 13 matches this season, scoring one goal, notably against Orlando Pirates themselves.

DANIEL MSENDAMI’S PROFILE BEFORE ORLANDO PIRATES

Msendami is also an international, with 13 caps for Zimbabwe. He was recently part of the Warriors squad at the current AFCON in Morocco, where they exited at the group stages.

His professional experience began in Zimbabwe with giants Highlanders FC, where he first made his name as a speedy and tricky winger.

He later moved to Botswana powerhouse Jwaneng Galaxy, gaining experience in the CAF Champions League.

His most productive spell came last season with Marumo Gallants. In 33 appearances across all competitions, Msendami scored three goals and provided three assists.

A DESCRIPTION OF HIS PLAYING STYLE

Chatting to the Orlando Pirates media team, the winger said the Sea Robbers faithful should expect a forward-minded player.

“The type of player I am, I am very direct as a winger,” Msendami said.

“I am always thinking of going forward. I am that type of winger. Going forward is the only thing I do when I get the ball,” the new Orlando Pirates attacker added.
