Pirates Striker Set For A Loan Move To Magesi

Posted on January 16, 2026

Magesi FC are believed to be interested in bringing in Orlando Pirates striker Sifiso Luthuli on a short-term loan until the end of the season.

iDiski Times established that Magesi is edging closer to bringing in Luthuli on a short-term loan. The 24-year-old made his Pirates debut in December when they played against All Stars in the Carling Cup.

He showed early promise as part of the Pirates Reserves and was one of the standout players across the DStv Diski Challenge during the 2019/20 campaign.

Luthuli spent a season at Pele Pele in the ABC Motsepe League, he then went to Motsepe Foundation Championship side Pretoria Callies on loan.

Magesi hope he can bring his goalscoring boots with him as they need to move away from relegation. They have only scored 10 goals so far this season.
