Bobby On January Signings For Chiefs

Posted on January 11, 2026

Kaizer Chiefs Football Manager Bobby Motaung has maintained being happy with the current squad with no plans for reinforcements during the January transfer window.

With the restart of the second half of the season now just days away, the likes of Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns have all strengthened their ranks.

The Buccaneers have snapped up Andre De Jong from Stellenbosch FC while Masandawana have been the busiest in this transfer window with the additions of Khulumani Ndamane, Brayan León and Monnapule Saleng.

Amakhosi on the other hand look set to continue with the same squad assembled at the start of the season with ‘Bobsteak’ emphasizing on no changes unless a special player becomes available.

“We’re not going to give up on a special player. If that happens, we will look into the matter,” he told Isolezwe.

“We’re very happy with the way we played. We had players out injured, but they are now returning. We signed a lot of players at the beginning of the season and some of them haven’t played yet.

“It’s not easy to join the Chiefs and that’s why some players take a while to settle in. They need to be familiar with the team in order for everything to work out.”

The Glamour Boys take on Golden Arrows on Tuesday, 20 January, in the Betway Premiership at FNB Stadium.
