Chiefs Striker Set For Stellies Loan Move?

Posted on January 10, 2026

Kaizer Chiefs striker Tashreeq Morris looks set for a loan move to Stellenbosch FC, iDiski Times has learnt.

The 31-year-old has been with Amakhosi for a couple of months after signing for the club from the now-defunct SuperSport United in January 2025.

The centre-forward has played only 11 matches for the Phefeni Glamour Boys – nine in the Betway Premiership, one in the Nedbank Cup, and one in the Carling Knockout Cup – and has not found the back of the net during his time there.

At times, injuries—most notably one from March last season—have kept him out, and he has featured only once so far this season.

This website has been informed that the 31-year-old centre-forward is on Stellies’ radar after the club appointed Gavin Hunt to succeed Steve Barker.

They first worked together at the now-defunct SuperSport United, prior to the striker’s move to Chiefs. Hunt later tried to reunite with him at Durban City, though the deal never materialised.

Morris still has a the current season and the next at Chiefs with his contract expiring in June 2027, having penned a two-year and a half in January last year.
