Kaizer Chiefs co-head coach Cedric Kaze believes the only thing missing for his side is the finishing, while the style of play is becoming more dominant.
Amakhosi have only picked up one win in their last eight games across all competitions – their 1-0 over Kabuscorp in the first preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
With Chiefs trying to book their ticket in the group stages, questions have been asked about the club’s playing style after they only scored more than one goal once this season – but Kaze insisted their Achilles heel is the finishing because he feels they create enough chances and have become more dominant.
“I only believe that in everything you see it, the only thing that we are lacking right now is scoring goals,” he stated.
“The brand of football is coming along, is coming together. The line-ups are consistent; the performances of players are consistent.
“And we need just to push to understand the responsibilities that we have and that we need to pick up points. And because even with a very nice brand of football, if you don’t win, then you doubt is coming very quickly in your in your mind, and as well the pressure coming.
“And then after that, it’s very difficult, but we are working very hard, and we feel that we need to keep our way of playing, because we are getting the opportunities, we are getting in the boxes, we are we are combining well.
“But we need to finish. We need we need to be clinical.”
