When is the next Orlando Pirates match?

Posted on November 10, 2025

Orlando Pirates are unbeaten in the Betway Premiership since August. Many pundits fancy them to go all the way this season.

Next up for the Buccaneers is a home clash with Chippa.

Here are the details.

Orlando Pirates are sitting pretty as the Betway Prem takes a break

The Sea Robbers are second in the league, three points adrift of leaders Sundowns. However, Abdeslam Ouaddou’s men have two games in hand. Their next test is a home match with Chippa on Saturday, 22 November at 15:30.

Mofokeng’s been a slow burner for Orlando Pirates this term

After dazzling in recent seasons, 2025-2026 has been one of the first hurdles for 21-year-old Relebohile Mofokeng to negotiate. The star wide player, who also excels in the number 10 role, has yet to score for the Buccaneers this season, and he has just a single assist. Form is temporary and class is permanent, however. Rele already has 42 direct goal contributions after 102 outings for the Sea Robbers.

Where is central defender Thabiso Sesane?

There’s still no sign of gifted defensive stalwart Thabiso Sesane. The 25-year-old went under the knife after a tendon injury in February, and the club is still easing him back to full training, but a return isn’t far off. Nigerian star Olisa Ndah is also still out. In the duo’s absence, however, new signing Lebone Seema has formed a fruitful partnership with the gifted youngster Mbekezeli Mbokazi at the heart of Pirates’ back four. Even club captain Nkosinathi Sibisi can’t get into the side regularly, illustrating their depth in the position.
