What Kaizer Chiefs want to win this season

Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef has opened up about the club’s goals for the 2025/26 season, making it clear that Amakhosi are not settling for anything less than silverware.

The Glamour Boys have had a perfect start to the Betway Premiership, winning three of the opening matches: 2-0 at Stellenbosch FC, 1-0 against Polokwane City FC and 1-0 over Richards Bay.

With nine points on the board, Kaizer Chiefs are sitting first on the league table and eager to improve on last season’s ninth-place finish.

Ben Youssef, who has been leading the team alongside second assistant Cedric Kaze while head coach Nasreddine Nabi is away on family leave, emphasised that Kaizer Chiefs are focused on competing for every trophy.

“To be honest with you, we don’t have any pressure; we take it game by game, but we are a big team, and every competition we play in, we must win that competition,” Ben Youssef said.

“We don’t have pressure, but for sure we will compete for all trophies, we just need to take it game by game. Our targets are clear, we are Kaizer Chiefs, we are not here to be in the middle of the table or just to enjoy.

“So we are here to win all the titles, but we as a club don’t want to be under pressure. We won our first two games, and there are still 28 games left, and we must win every competition we play in,” the Tunisian mentor concluded.
