What I Told New Chiefs Arrivals – Miguel

Posted on August 27, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs captain Inacio Miguel has been left impressed with his side’s new players who were unveiled last week, saying he advised them to continue doing what brought them to the club.

Chiefs confirmed the signings of Asanele Velebayi, Luke Baartman and Etiosa Ighodaro and unveiled the trio after their 1-0 win over Richards Bay at the FNB stadium last week in front of their home fans.

Miguel told the media on Monday that he likes what he has seen from the players in training so far and told them to be themselves and playing the good football that drew the club to them.

“So, we had a few sessions with them, from what I see, I’m very happy,” said Miguel.

“They are players that come and bring different energy. The biggest message that I have for them, they have to be themselves you know, they have to continue to do what brings them here.

“What brings them here was their football, was the way that they’re playing in their previous club.

“So, they just have to continue and do their best and they will help our team for sure.”
