Velebayi On How He’s Settling In At Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs winger Asanele Velebayi has described his start at the club as a game-by-game learning curve.

Velebayi joined the Glamour Boys at the beginning of the current campaign after a protracted saga with his former club Cape Town Spurs.

He has so far featured four times across all competitions, twice in the Betway Premiership and twice in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The 22-year-old speedster has slowly worked his way into the Chiefs squad and is adapting well as his confidence grows with each game.

“For me personally, I’m taking it game-by-game,” he said.

“My confidence is slowly building up like compared to when I made my debut where I was like a little bit nervous.

“So, it’s learning every day, adapting. The more I get the minutes, the more I get the confidence.

“I must say I’m adapting like very good at the club.”
