Updated Group C Log – iDiski Times

Posted on October 11, 2025

While Bafana Bafana dropped points on Friday, both Benin and Nigeria won their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Bafana were frustrated by Zimbabwe, who kept their first clean sheet in 11 games despite playing nearly 30 minutes with 10 men.

Meanwhile, Benin beat Rwanda 1-0 thanks to an 80th-minute goal by Aiyegun Tosin to move two points clear at the top of Group C.

Nigeria also kept their chances alive after beating Lesotho 2-1 to move the gap on Bafana to just one point. The Super Eagles now need to beat Benin at home and hope Bafana won’t beat Rwanda to book their World Cup spot.

Meanwhile, if Nigeria would beat Benin, Bafana will qualify with a victory over Rwanda on Tuesday, while Benin are in the driving seat and could already qualify with a draw against the Super Eagles – unless Bafana win by at least two goals.
