Updated Betway Premiership table: Kaizer Chiefs draw AGAIN

Posted on October 23, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs have dropped more points and fired blanks again in the Betway Premiership as they miss their chance to leapfrog Orlando Pirates.

Chiefs registered their third draw in a row in the league and fourth of the campaign.

It leaves them four points adrift of Sekhukhune and five of Sundowns.

Chiefs drop points with Siwelele

Kaizer Chiefs returned to Betway Premiership action with a disappointing 0-0 stalemate with Siwelele. Here is the updated Betway Premiership table for your perusal as the Glamour Boys fail to capitalise on their chance to leapfrop Pirates:

Vilakazi is finally back in the picture for Kaizer Chiefs

Mfundo ‘Obrigado’ Vilakazi claimed two assists in a 5-0 win over New Caledonia in the group stages. He also slotted a penalty in the Round of 16 defeat to Colombia. However, for Chiefs, he’s hardly had a look-in this term. The teenager had only played 73 minutes across all competitions this season, all as a substitute, prior to the club’s 0-0 draw with Siwelele, Vilakazi’s first start of the campaign.

Kaizer Chiefs are managing more shots than any other side

Chiefs currently top the table for shots on target per match with 6.2. However, their tally of eight goals scored has them at ninth in the Betway Premiership for that metric. Clearly, their finishing needs more work than their ability to fashion opportunities to shoot. Sundowns (5.1) and Pirates (4.7) are second and third, respectively.
