Updated Betway Premiership log after Pirates win

Posted on November 30, 2025

Orlando Pirates are top of the Betway Premiership standings following their 2-0 win over Durban City at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.

The three points earned through the victory placed the Soweto Giants three points clear of second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns, with both teams having played 12 games this season.

The Buccaneers secured a crucial away win in what was their last Premiership fixture in 2025. The win will boost Abdeslam Ouaddou’s men ahead of the Carling Knockout Cup final against Marumo Gallants.

An excellent link-up play between Nkosikhona Ndaba and Relebohile Mofokeng on the flank, with the latter finding striker Evidence Makgopa, who did not err in netting his second league goal in the space of a week.

Pirates go top Betway Premiership

Orlando Pirates scored their second through Patrick Maswanganyi to secure their ninth league win of the season.

This is the first time that Pirates have topped the Betway Premiership this season after a horrific start to the season. Ouaddou’s charges lost their opening two league matches but have since gone 10 matches unbeaten in the PSL.

With the Buccaneers out of the CAF Champions League, they have all the time to focus on the league, with rivals Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs competing in Africa.

Pirates now lead the Betway Premiership with 28 points from 12 matches. Sundowns are second with 25 points, followed by Sekhukhune United and Chiefs with 22 points.

Chippa United and Magesi find themselves fighting at the bottom after 14 and 12 matches respectively.
