Kaizer Chiefs are set to welcome back two key figures in their backline, with assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef confirming that Rushwin Dortley and Given Msimango are recovering well from long-term injuries.
With the CAF Confederation Cup coming soon, the duo’s return will offer Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi more options in defence and create healthy competition in a squad that struggled at times last season.
Dortley, 23, underwent knee surgery earlier this year after picking up an injury in a Betway Premiership clash against Mamelodi Sundowns in March, while Msimango also missed a chunk of the run-in, sidelined by a groin problem that forced him out of Amakhosi’s last five league games and the Nedbank Cup final.

“With Dortley, he keeps working with our medical staff, who are doing a very good job with him,” Ben Youssef told the media.. “Soon, I think in a few weeks, he’ll be back with us, and he and Given will start the training sessions with the team,” Youssef added.
