Update: Next Kaizer Chiefs signing

Posted on August 14, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs are still chasing to sign Nigerian striker Etiosa Ighodaro, but the transfer window clock is not standing still.

The 24-year-old is yet to play for Mamelodi Sundowns after loan spells at AmaTuks, Chippa United, SuperSport United, and AmaZulu.

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi called Ighodaro a “good player” but admitted there is admin work to do.

“For the boy, the most important thing is to play football, and an opportunity at a club like Kaizer Chiefs keeps him hopeful,” a source told Soccer Laduma. “It would be a fantastic move for him at a club of that stature.

“Plus, the coach, Nabi, is a big admirer, so who wouldn’t be interested in an opportunity like that? We’ll have to wait and see what happens between now and the end of the transfer window,” added the informant.
