TTM Want Pirates Fixture At ‘Slaughterhouse’

Posted on January 23, 2026

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila head coach Lucky ‘King Muchichwa’ Nelukau hopes their Nedbank Cup fixture against Orlando Pirates gets taken to their ‘slaughterhouse’, Thohoyandou Stadium.

TTM are not new to giant slaying in this tournament, having won the Ke Yona Cup in the 2020/21 season when they were in top flight football, beating Chippa United 1-0 in the final.

The following season they went all the way to semi-finals, where they were knocked out by Marumo Gallants after they shocked the country by eliminating Lamontville Golden Arrows and SuperSport United on their route to the semis.

Things changed after and they find themselves in the ABC Motsepe League where it’s tougher to qualify for the tournament.

Nelukau’s side qualified this season and hope to go further in the tournament and hope they can battle Pirates on their familiar playing ground, Thohoyandou Stadium – the stadium is currently being used by Black Leopards and Venda FC in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

“I wish we can get our game against Orlando Pirates in Thohoyandou Stadium, I wish the PSL can think about that because it’s our game because we’re playing in Thohoyandou Stadium,” Nelukau told iDiski Times.

“Even Pirates, they lost the game there against Black Leopards. It must be approved because VFA [Venda Football Club] is playing there, while I am speaking to you VFA they are going to play there on Saturday.

“So PSL knows how is the stadium, unless there’s something we don’t know.”
