Tso On How Saleng Can Get Back To His Best

Posted on January 11, 2026

iDiski TV analyst Benedict Vilakazi says he still strongly believes Monnapule Saleng can get back to his best at Mamelodi Sundowns provided the player gets support.

Saleng was announced as Sundowns’ second signing of the current transfer window on Friday having spent the first round of the campaign at Orbit College on loan after falling out of favour at Orlando Pirates.

‘Tso’ said he is pleased that the 27-year-old winger didn’t waste his chance at Orbit adding that Saleng needs a coach that will manage him well off the pitch, so he has a good head space of what’s expected of him on the pitch.

“I still believe in him. I think the boy he just needs to gain his confidence and get support,” said Tso on iDiski TV.

“I think there’s one thing a lot of coaches always miss is having player management. I think he needs a coach that will manage him before we expect good things from the boy in the field. I think they still need to get him.

“They need to understand him, and he needs to understand where the team and where the coach are coming from, the players what is it that they want and where the team wants to move.

“I still believe in the boy strongly. Maybe he will give us 10 goals and with time maybe 15.”
