Tso Makes Huge Pirates Treble Claim

Posted on December 7, 2025

Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Benedict Vilakazi says the side winning the Carling Knockout Cup is a sign that they could enjoy their most successful season in 13 years.

His comments come after Pirates secured their second trophy of the season after beating Marumo Gallants 1-0 in the final at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday. The last time the Buccaneers won more than two trophies in a campaign was in 2012 where they were also the league champions.

Tso is of the opinion that The Ghost is on the right track to repeating that term if not to better it.

“Polokwane was painted black and with this final we are confirming our walk,” said Tso on iDiski TV.

“There is a journey that we are taking as Orlando Pirates. We are still walking we took two trophies now and it can be a treble or a quadruple, that’s where we are going.

“That’s why I was praying on the side that they do their things right so that when we go further then we know that we can collect everything.”
