Today’s Kaizer Chiefs transfer news revolves around two young targets and one prodigy heading out of the club temporarily.

Chiefs retain interest in Cape Town Spurs duo Asanele Velebayi and Luke Baartman.

Meanwhile, a much youngster star is off to Italy on trial.

Chiefs chase Velebayi, Baartman, but there could be a court date

Meanwhile, Chiefs believed that targets Luke Baartman and Asanele Velebayi were no longer contractually tied to the Mother City outfit Cape Town Spurs. This, after Spurs’ relegation from the Motsepe Foundation Championship to the amateur ABC Motsepe League. Spurs are contesting Chiefs’ claims in court. 22-year-old winger Velebayi made 23 appearances in the 2023-2024 Betway Premiership season. Striker Baartman, still just 19, made nine league appearances in the same season, scoring twice.

Pitso’s son gets a trial with AS Roma

14-year-old Reatlegile Mosimane has earned himself a trial at AS Roma. Known for being Pitso’s son, the young attacker plundered 38 goals last season. That earned him the top scorer award, as Chiefs won the Gauteng Development League U13 title. He hopes to follow in the footsteps of little-known Ikenna Tladi, the nine-year-old left-footed winger from Wolmaransstad who has signed terms with the Italian side.
