‘They player better than last season’: Galaxy coach praises Chiefs

Posted on December 8, 2025

TS Galaxy head coach Adnan Beganovic believes Kaizer Chiefs are playing better football than they did last season.

This comes after the Rockets held Amakhosi to a goalless draw on Sunday afternoon in a Betway Premiership clash. The Glamour Boys created a lot of chances throughout the match but failed to find the goal, which would have taken them to third on the log.

“We know when we prepared this game, we know that Kaizer Chiefs is not like last year, it’s much, much better. Play better football, control the ball so many players inside. It’s tough to handle everything,” Beganovic told SuperSport TV.

Chiefs signed three strikers this season and Begavonic admitted it was no longer easy to defend against the Soweto giants.

“You know, players like Mayo moving between lines it’s not easy to defend against Kaizer Chiefs now, but now we’re lucky to handle everything first half, second half we want to use more the long ball behind the last line,” the Galaxy coach added.

“Now, we had some opportunities but you know I’m so happy how we played all 90 minutes.”

“Also, I think fans can enjoy on TV how we play, watch us how we play, present South African football for the whole league in the end, I think it’s fair to share one point,” he said.

TS Galaxy coach happy to steal a point from Chiefs

Begavonic’s side were second best on Sunday but somehow walked away with points. TS Galaxy are just three points away from Chiefs after 13 matches played in the league this season.

I think now we can be happy to go home with 21 points. I think it’s best half in history and I think we can be proud of all the games we play this season,” he added.

Are Chiefs still in the hunt for the league?
