These teams have reached the Nedbank Cup Round of 16

The Nedbank Cup Round of 32 kicked off on Wednesday, 4 February, and will conclude on Tuesday, 10 February 2026, officially ushering in this season’s Ke Yona campaign.

Defending champions Kaizer Chiefs began their title defence with a tough away fixture against Stellenbosch FC at the Cape Town Stadium, and the match ended in disappointment for the Glamour Boys.

Eliminated at the first hurdle

Amakhosi were eliminated at the first hurdle after suffering a 2–1 defeat, bringing an early end to their hopes of retaining the trophy.

Kaizer Chiefs had lifted last season’s Nedbank Cup with a 2-1 victory over Orlando Pirates in the final, a result that ended a lengthy drought for major silverware.

Most successful clubs

In the history of the Nedbank Cup in its current format, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates remain the most successful sides, each having lifted the trophy four times.

Kaizer Chiefs have won the competition twice, while TS Galaxy, Bidvest Wits and Moroka Swallows have each claimed the title once.

With just two (of 16 matches) remaining in the Round of 32, these 14 sides have booked their spots in the Round of 16:

Stellenbosch FC, Mamelodi Sundowns, CR Vasco da Gama, Durban City, Orlando Pirates, Upington City, Sekhukhune United, Jacksa Spears, Casric Stars, Golden Arrows, TS Galaxy, University of Pretoria, Mkhambathi FC, Richards Bay.
