Suspension Blow For Downs Ahead Of Crunch Pirates Tie

Posted on February 16, 2026

Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Bathusi Aubaas will miss the hugely anticipated Betway Premiership clash against Orlando Pirates at FNB Stadium on Wednesday, 18 February, due to suspension.

The 29-year-old has featured just 11 times across all competitions this campaign.

He hasn’t featured much for the Chloorkop outfit in continental competition since their CAF Champions League triumph over Nigerian side Remo Stars in October 2025 at home largely due to niggling injuries and competition in the star-studded Masandawana team.

Aubaas did however get a run during Masandawana’s Nedbank Cup Last 32 triumph over Gomora United at the beginning of February 2026.

The PSL confirmed on Monday morning that the former TS Galaxy hard-tackling midfielder alongside Magesi FC’s Kgomotso Mosadi, are the only two players suspended for this midweek league clashes.
