Mamelodi Sundowns romped to an emphatic 3-0 win over 10-man Magesi FC in their Betway Premiership clash at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Ten minutes in and Wonder Makhubu almost gave Magesi the lead by forcing Ronwen Williams into an awkward angle save.

Elvis Chipezeze was next to make a diving save and keep Tashreeq Matthews’ effort out in the 13th minute.

Sundowns were first to draw blood with Kutlwano Letlhaku at the end of Thapelo Morena’s miscued shot to make it 1-0 in the 22nd minute.

Matters got worse for Dikwena Tsa Meetse in the 42nd minute as Samuel Darpoh received his marching orders having picked up his second yellow card of the afternoon for a lunging tackle.

It was 2-0 courtesy of Iqraam Rayners in the 65th minute who tucked in at the back post following another Morena assist.

With just under 15 minutes left, Rayners grabbed his brace of the day with a glancing header to make it 3-0.

Masandawana temporarily moved top of the log standings with the top-of-the-table clash between Sekhukhune United and Kaizer Chiefs on the horizon.
