Sundowns superstar Thembinkosi Lorch secures next club

Mamelodi Sundowns have reportedly reached an agreement to sell Thembinkosi Lorch.

The Brazilians are moving swiftly in trimming their squad down.

Coach Miguel Cardoso is adamant on working with a smaller squad, leading to a host of departures at Chloorkop.

Sipho Mbule, Rushine De Reuck, Lebohang Maboe, Thabang Sibanyoni and Rivaldo Coetzee have all left the club permanently.On the other hand, Kobamelo Kodisang was loaned out.

And now, another Mamelodi Sundowns ace will leave the club permanently.

Thembinkosi Lorch set to leave Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns have reportedly reached an agreement with Wydad Athletic Club over the transfer of Thembinkosi Lorch.

Lorch spent the second half of last season out on loan at the Moroccan giants.

He followed Rulani Mokwena to Morocco, was the Wydad coach at the time.

Despite Mokwena’s departure, Lorch’s impact at the club was great and the club are now set to bring him back up North!

According to reputable local publication Unplayable, Lorch will join Wydad on a one-year deal with a further option to extend from Sundowns.

Is Lorch making the right move?

Is Thembinkosi Lorch making the right move here? The former Pirates star made just 26 appearances for Sundowns. He scored seven goals while assisting four more, as per Transfermarkt.
