Sundowns Make Lorch Announcement – iDiski Times

Posted on August 15, 2025

Mamelodi Sundowns have made an announcement regarding the future of Thembinkosi Lorch.

Lorch, who joined Sundowns from Orlando Pirates almost two years ago, spent last season on loan at Wydad AC, but had returned to the club at the end of the 2024/25 campaign with his future in doubt.

Now the club has confirmed his exit, thanking him for his service over two years.

Lorch had lost favour at Sundowns after the exit of Rulani Mokwena, who had been key in his recruitment. It was also Mokwena, who worked with Lorch at Pirates, who brought the 32-year-old to Morocco.

β€œπ—§π—›π—”π—‘π—ž 𝗬𝗒𝗨, 𝗑𝗬𝗒𝗦𝗒 πŸ‘†πŸ’›,” the club posted on social media

β€œAfter 2️⃣ unforgettable years, 1️⃣ league title, 2️⃣6️⃣ appearances, 7️⃣ goals and 4️⃣ assists, the Yellow Nation thanks and celebrates Thembinkosi Lorch. πŸ’›β€

β€œWishing you all the best as you start the next chapter of your journey! πŸ‘Šβ€

Lorch has been linked with a return to Wydad, where he had an impressive stint, making wave at the FIFA Club World Cup with the Moroccan club.
