Sundowns & Durban City XI Confirmed

Posted on September 21, 2025

Mamelodi Sundowns and Durban City have announced their starting line-ups for this evening’s Betway Premiership clash at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Sundowns will play their third match in a space of six days after dropping points three days ago against Marumo Gallants away from home.

Masandawana hope to return to winning ways and close their gap on Sekhukhune United after Babina Noko opened a four-point gap.

The defending Betway Premiership champions haven’t lost a league match this season, with the only other team being Sekhukhune. After seven matches they’ve won four and drew three, scored 10 goals and conceded two.

Newly-promoted Durban City had a dream start this season, and after six games they find themselves in fourth place with three wins, two draws and just one loss – they scored six goals and conceded three.

Gavin Hunt’s side come to this game with their tails up after a 2-0 win over renamed Siwelele FC in midweek, ending three matches winless run. This is the first time these two sides are facing each other.

Here is how they line up:

Sundowns XI: Williams, Mudau, Cupido, Khoza, Modiba, Mokoena, Allende, Matthews, Letlhaku, Sales, Rayners

Subs: Onyango, Lebusa, Morena, Basadien, Aubaas, Adams, Mabena, Maseko, Shalulile

Durban City XI: Keet, Maphathe, Ncanana, Mkhize, Gcaba, Nodada, Jurgens, Domingo, Maseko, Mokwena, Kamatuka

Subs: Mtshali, Tshanini, Poggenpoel, Jodwana, Magawana, Goedeman, Lubumba, Koapeng, de Kock.
