Sundowns Crowned MCS Champions – iDiski Times

Mamelodi Sundowns romped to an emphatic 6-0 thrashing of Morupule Wanderers to be crowned as inaugural Morupule Charity Spectacular Champions.

After scoring three unanswered goals in the semifinals against Sua Flamingoes on Friday morning, with strikes from Thapelo Morena, Lebogang Mothiba and Miguel Reisinho, Masandawana picked up from where they left off by thumping their Botswana neighbours at Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown on Friday evening.

Morupule narrowly defeated fellow Botswana side TAFIC 1-0 in the other semifinal clash but were no match for the South African champions.

Iqraam Rayners opened the scoring as early as second minute before they got their second in the 13th minute and then making it 3-0 seven minutes later. It was 4-0 in the 32nd minute and they then scored again to make it 5-0 going into the half-time break.

The second period was no different as Sundowns made it 6-0 in the 52nd minute to be crowned The 2025 Morupule Charity Spectacular champions.

The Brazilians scored a total of nine goals in two matches without conceding.
